Job summary

Buc-ee's is opening a new location in Mebane, NC, Fall 2027, and seeks an HR Field Representative to support human resources and employee relations in our stores.

The role involves onboarding, policy interpretation, payroll and benefits inquiries, and training for new hires. Experience with HR systems like Workday and Kronos is valued, with advanced education preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PHR or eligibility to take the exam within 1 year preferred.
• Strong HR systems experience including Workday and Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, benefits, payroll information, and policy interpretation for store staff.
• Act as liaison between store management and HR to ensure timely information flow.
• Review applications and interviews for frontline positions and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Manage onboarding processes and explain policies, procedures and benefits.
• Facilitate online training for new employees and maintain knowledge of Federal and State HR requirements.

Candidates must have previous onboarding, training, and employee relations experience.The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:$27 / hourMaintain a working knowledge of company policies and procedures while working directly with store General Managers ensure employee complianceHandle employee relations which includes, but is not limited to, timekeeping and disciplinary issuesAct as a liaison between Store Management and Human Resources department to ensure a timely flow of information for onboarding, benefits, and payrollReview applications and interviews for frontline positionsEvaluate forms, such as W4, Work Opportunity Tax Credit, and I-9 for accuracy and adherence to procedure and regulatory requirementsManage the store onboarding process for new employees, which includes explanation of policies, procedures and benefits.Partner with HR Team (Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, etc) to respond to employee’s questions about policies, pay, and benefits.Facilitate online training for new employees, which includes but is not limited to Kronos, position related online training, and safety trainingMaintain knowledge of Federal and State legal requirements affecting Human ResourcesPerform other duties as required or assignedEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodationThe position requirements include, but are not limited to:Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredPHR or eligibility to take the exam within 1 year preferredHigh competency with HR systems, Workday, and Dimensions3-5 years of relevant HR experienceExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Office SuiteEEOC experience a plusJoining our team puts you on a path where opportunity for advancement is available.Buc-ee's, Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
