Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Timekeeping System Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the central contact for employees submitting time and supervisors approving it. You will bridge the gap between the timekeeping system, its users, HR, and Payroll, ensuring system integrity and timely payroll processing.

You will troubleshoot issues, guide users, support enhancements, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in HR, General Business, Computer Systems, or similar (Required).
• 2 years+ hands-on HR experience preferred.
• Understanding of HR role and its business impact (Advanced, Required).
• Ability to train and influence system users (Advanced, Required).
• Knowledge of timekeeping systems and Payroll relationship (Intermediate, Required).
• General knowledge of compliance rules (Ryder, federal, state, local) (Intermediate, Required).
• Knowledge of Workday and ServiceNow (Intermediate, Preferred).
• Proven MS Office proficiency (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) (Advanced, Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive support to employees and managers navigating the timekeeping system(s).
• Conduct audits to ensure timekeeping policy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain collaboration with HR and Payroll stakeholders on system updates.
• Update and distribute timekeeping training materials.
• Ensure new users and role changes receive timely access and training.
• Complete proxy setups to avoid service disruption during absences.
