Job summary
Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an HRIS Specialist II (Contract) to join the HRIS team in Herndon, VA, with locations in Grand Prairie, Mobile, Wichita, Miami. You will support HR technology, primarily Workday HCM, across modules like Compensation, Benefits, Time & Absence, and payroll.
The role emphasizes product ownership, process analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, IT, and Finance. You will manage backlogs, coordinate biannual releases, and lead project efforts from initiation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in HR/IT
- Experience with HRIS and Workday modules preferred
- Strong ability to translate business needs into system requirements and project status updates
Responsibilities
- Serve as functional Product Owner and Tier 2 analyst for HRIS modules (Workday HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time & Absence)
- Manage product backlog and translate business needs into user stories and requirements
- Lead technical HRIS projects from initiation to post-go-live stabilization
- Coordinate testing strategies, UAT, and release validation; develop SOPs and training materials
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance and vendors to optimize HR technology value
