Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced HRIS Specialist II (Contract) to join our HRIS team in Herndon, VA, with potential locations nationwide.

The role focuses on maintaining and evolving our HRIS, partnering with HR, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure high-impact employee experiences. You will own functional product areas (Workday HCM, compensation, benefits, time & attendance) and drive backlogs, testing, and end-user enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Workday HCM Suite.
• Experience with Workday HCM Suite and/or Dayforce.
• Extensive full HCM lifecycle experience including Employee Shared Service Center, HR Master Data, payroll, compensation, absence management, time management and benefits.
• Excellent written and spoken English interpersonal communication skills; ability to translate complex system functionality into clear requirements for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership: manage backlog and translate business needs into user stories and requirements.
• Technical Project Management: lead HRIS projects from initiation to post-go-live stabilization.
• Testing Coordination & UAT: define testing strategies and coordinate regression testing.
• End-user Enablement: deliver SOPs, job aids, and training sessions for HR teams and employees.
• Other duties as assigned.
