Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior HRIS Specialist to own Workday HCM modules and lead North America HRIS initiatives across multiple sites, including Herndon, VA. The role partners with Directors and CoEs to translate business needs into automated, compliant enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities include governance of Workday releases, project management, testing, and enabling HR teams. Travel up to 5% and a strong background in HRIS implementations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Human Resources Management, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• 8+ years experience with HRIS implementations, specifically HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Time Management and Payroll.
• Experience with Workday HCM Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategic functional product ownership and release governance for core Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Payroll).
• Lead complex technical HRIS projects from initiation to post-go-live stabilization; manage charters, schedules, risks, and stakeholder plans.
• Architect and govern testing strategies; coordinate UAT and data integrity across systems.
• Perform enablement sessions and training to drive system adoption and process consistency.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
