Job summary

Hill, Barth & King LLC (HBK) invites applications for a People Intern to assist the People & Culture team. You will help with onboarding, communications, SOPs, and HR operations, gaining exposure to talent operations, employee experience, and total rewards.

You will draft communications, maintain resources, support policy portals, and contribute to strategic People & Culture initiatives while learning from senior HR leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Eager to contribute to a dynamic HR environment.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding by coordinating communications and completing onboarding tasks.
• Draft employee communications and resource materials.
• Create and maintain SOPs and process documentation (e.g., via Scribe).
• Maintain Workplace Success Toolkit and intranet content.
• Assist with policy portal updates and culture initiatives.
• Support HR operations and administrative tasks in Workday.
• Respond to routine inquiries and route complex questions appropriately.
• Contribute to special projects within People & Culture.
