Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a motivated Human Resources intern to join the People & Culture team for a summer internship. The role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and HR operations, offering hands-on exposure to essential HR functions in a dynamic setting.

You will work with experienced professionals, gain practical experience, and contribute to meaningful HR initiatives while developing core professional skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as Incoming Junior or Incoming Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, or related field.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks.
• Strong teamwork and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with posting job openings and screening resumes.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.
• Support onboarding and orientation for new hires.
• Maintain employee records and HR databases.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and events.
• Assist with HR reporting and data analysis.
• Contribute to HR process improvements and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
• Gain exposure to HR systems and tools.
• Network within the organization.
