Job summary

Hillphoenix, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an HR Intern to gain hands-on experience across HR functions. You will support onboarding, communications, and program development while learning from HR leaders in a manufacturing environment.

You will assist with job descriptions, postings, resume screening, and interview coordination, and help maintain personnel records. Strong confidentiality and detail orientation are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate tact and integrity.
• Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating new hire orientations, onboarding new employees, developing new programs, and increasing employee communications.
• Update job descriptions and postings; vet applications and resumes; organize interviews with candidates.
• Update company databases with new employee information and maintain current files.
• Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and other HR-related matters.
• Assist with other tasks and projects assigned by manager.
