Job summary

Itape in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support employee relations, HR operations, compliance, and the employee experience. This part-time, non-exempt role provides hands-on exposure to core HR processes while contributing to a positive and compliant workplace.

You will assist with onboarding, maintain records in Dayforce, help ensure policy adherence, and support engagement activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• Strong interest in HR operations, employee relations, and compliance.
• Display discretion with sensitive data.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Prior administrative or internship experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation sessions.
• Update employee records in Dayforce, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and labor regulations.
• Assist with maintaining personnel files and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with employee engagement activities and internal events.
• Generate HR reports and assist with data analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement projects to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
• Related tasks as requested by manager.
