Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Manager, HR (Austin) to support the Austin, TX South Base with direct HR and labor relations responsibilities. You will gather, maintain documentation for contracts, investigations, and negotiations, and provide guidance to the Austin HR team daily.

This on-site role requires handling union-related inquiries, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining records for hiring, promotion, and diversity initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in Human Resources/ Employee Relations or similar role.
• 2 years’ experience in a Union setting.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and labor relations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the Austin HR team.
• Handle labor relations and HR inquiries related to policies and bargaining agreements.
• Track information requests, hearings, and grievance timelines to ensure contract compliance.
• Serve as initial intake contact for employee complaints and investigations.
• Assist with recordkeeping for hiring, termination, leave, transfers, and promotions with EEO and diversity initiatives.
• Coordinate meetings between Union Officials, Employees, and Leadership.
• Organize and maintain all CBAs and arbitration decisions.
