Job summary

Summit Fire & Security seeks a Human Resources Generalist to maintain and enhance HR programs including wage administration, training, employee relations, and compliance such as EEO and affirmative action.

The role requires staying current on labor laws, advising leadership, maintaining HRIS data, supporting onboarding, and coordinating employee events while safeguarding confidential information and assisting risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field required.
• SHRM SCP/CP or HRCI PHR/SPHR or equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years HR Generalist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep updated on local, state, and federal labor laws and ensure compliance.
• Advise management and employees on legal and policy concerns.
• Maintain and improve company policies, procedures, and HR processes.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports.
• Support onboarding, employment agreements, and data entry in HRIS.
• Protect confidentiality of HR information and assist with risk management.
