Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Seattle, WA is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with site leadership to administer HR plans and ensure consistent execution across all sites. You will manage recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles and promote employee relations and engagement.

You will handle investigations, support payroll and benefits administration, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of HR experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment regulations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership and HR team to administer HR plans and ensure consistent execution across sites.
• Engage with employees to understand needs and provide solutions aligned to company practices.
• Conduct recruitment for exempt and non-exempt site positions.
• Develop and monitor programs to promote employee relations and engagement.
• Handle employee relations concerns and investigations with HR leadership support.
• Perform benefit administration and communicate benefit information to employees.
• Generate reports, analyze data, and support decision-making for projects.
• Maintain HRIS records and compile reports as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state employment regulations, timekeeping, leave, and workers' comp.
• Onboard new employees and collaborate with supervisors for a positive employee experience.
• Review timekeeping records for payroll processing in a timely, accurate manner.
• Collaborate on safety and wellbeing initiatives with EH&S and travel to other sites as needed.
