Job summary

Generational Care is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, and HR systems. This role requires independent initiative, strong judgment, and the ability to balance regulatory compliance with compassionate service.

The position is full-time in Richland, WA, offering a competitive hourly pay range and a robust benefits package. Strong Excel skills and HRIS experience are valued assets for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years HR experience.
• Experience with HRIS/ADP or similar systems.
• Ability to manage projects independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an HR resource to employees and supervisors regarding policies, benefits, employment practices, and general HR matters.
• Coordinate recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities, including candidate screening, interviews, background checks, and I-9 requirements.
• Coordinate and track employee leaves and accommodations, including FMLA and disability-related leaves.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work processes, safety initiatives, and unemployment claims.
• Support benefits and compensation administration, including enrollment, eligibility, audits, and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, troubleshoot system issues, and assist with implementations.
• Prepare and analyze HR reports to identify trends and compliance concerns.
• Develop and maintain HR procedures, workflows, and training resources.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from research through implementation and follow-through.
• Proactively identify issues and support HR audits, system implementations, and improvements.
