Job summary

MAG Industries is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to handle day-to-day HR operations in Tyrone, PA. This full-time professional role covers onboarding, payroll, benefits, retirement plan administration, documentation, workers’ compensation, leave administration, and related processes.

The ideal candidate will be organized, discreet, and capable of independently managing confidential information while collaborating with managers, leadership, and external providers.

Qualifications

• Previous HR, payroll, benefits, or related administrative experience preferred.
• Experience processing payroll or working with payroll/timekeeping systems preferred.
• Experience with ADP or another HRIS/payroll platform is preferred.
• General understanding of HR practices and employment documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently with escalation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding and employment documentation administration.
• Manage termination and separation processes.
• Administer payroll through ADP and maintain payroll records.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, coverage questions, and changes.
• Support 401(k) retirement plan administration and contributions.
• Handle leave, disability, and ADA accommodation processes.
• Respond to employee questions and investigations with discretion.
• Maintain handbooks and HR policies with managers.
