Job summary

Outreach Works is seeking a Human Resource Generalist in Scranton, PA to support onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, records management, and wellness programs. This full-time role reports to the HR Manager and helps maintain a positive, efficient work environment across the organization.

The position requires strong communication, organizational, and compliance skills, with a minimum of two years in HR and a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of HR experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Manager in staffing and recruiting needs and talent management.
• Update job descriptions and postings on Outreach career page and job boards.
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll and track bonuses/rate changes as needed.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Maintain HR knowledge on trends, regulations, and new technologies.
• Coordinate staff development, training, and certifications.
