Job summary

Penn Color, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers at our Hatfield, PA headquarters.

This onsite role partners with leadership across the employee lifecycle including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, compliance, and HR programs. The ideal candidate has at least five years of broad HR experience, strong judgment, and the ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or SHRM/PHR/SPHR certification.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling employee relations and performance matters.
• Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits and HR programs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Workday experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing timely guidance.
• Coach managers on employee relations, performance expectations, and attendance.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend resolutions.
• Support recruiting activities: candidate screening and interviews.
• Coordinate onboarding and support a positive employee experience.
• Administer HR policies and ensure compliance with laws.
• Support performance management, talent reviews, and development actions.
• Partner with leaders to identify training needs and coordinate development.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and process changes.
• Support employee engagement, wellness, and company events.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous-improvement initiatives.
