Job summary

Six Degrees Search is partnering with a Wheaton, IL based financial services organization to identify a hands-on HR Generalist focusing on benefits and recruiting. The role requires independent initiative and the ability to manage day-to-day HR tasks while contributing to broader business operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–10 years of HR experience, strong recruiting and benefits skills, and exposure to financial services. Base salary ranges from $70,000–$85,000 with bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–10 years of progressive HR experience.
• Hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee benefits administration.
• Experience or exposure within financial services, banking, insurance, mortgage, investment management, or related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting & onboarding: manage full-cycle recruiting, postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers; support workforce planning; coordinate onboarding and documentation; help develop processes as the org grows.
• Benefits administration & employee relations: coordinate benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement); manage open enrollment; liaise with brokers and carriers; maintain records and assist with relations.
• HR operations & process improvement: maintain HR systems and records; coordinate payroll changes; develop and improve HR policies and workflows; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience; establish scalable practices.
• Business & office operations: support leadership on admin projects; coordinate vendor relationships and internal communications; take ownership of administrative responsibilities.
