Job summary

Big Spring Center for Skilled Care seeks a dedicated Human Resource Coordinator to support HR operations, manage employee records, payroll, and policies while fostering a compliant and organized workplace culture.

The role covers data processing for hires and terminations, recruitment support, policy guidance, payroll inquiries, and compliance with federal/state laws. Strongorganizational skills and 2+ years HR/Payroll experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years HR/Payroll experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in HR software, data entry, and reporting.
• Knowledge of labor law and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage Employee Data: process new hires, pay rate changes, and terminations in HR systems.
• Assist with Recruitment: screen applications and resumes, assess qualifications, and make hiring recommendations.
• Advise on Policies: support managers and employees with HR policies and procedures.
• Handle Payroll & Records: respond to payroll inquiries and maintain accurate personnel records.
• Support Employment Transactions: guide decisions on promotions, transfers, reductions-in-force, and classification reviews.
• Coordinate Recognition Programs: oversee employee events and ensure alignment with recognition guidelines.
• Maintain Compliance: monitor personnel files and risk documentation in line with federal and state laws.
• Perform Administrative Functions: prepare correspondence, data entry, and HR reports.
• Interpret and Enforce Policies: educate staff on policies, employment law, and workplace procedures.
