Highgate Hotels Residence Inn Gaithersburg in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an Assistant General Manager who focuses on profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and staff development. The role oversees operations to maintain brand standards and guest experience.

You will lead sales efforts, manage budgeting processes, conduct staff trainings, participate in MOD coverage, and develop managers for future advancement.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years progressive experience in a hotel setting.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Must communicate effectively with all levels of staff and guests.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions.

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top accounts and meeting clients.
• Tour operating departments daily and adjust as needed with department heads.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions.
• Meet financial review dates and corporate programs on time.
• Oversee budget processes and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Develop managers for future advancement through training.
• Participate in MOD coverage as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with hotel standards and security procedures.
