Job summary

The General Manager at Residence Inn Exton, part of Highgate Hotels, drives hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and staff development. You will lead all departments, manage budgets, train managers, and collaborate with sales to pursue corporate and group business while maintaining Highgate standards.

This role requires strategic leadership, hands-on operations and a commitment to delivering a best-in-class guest experience in a busy Select Service

Qualifications

• 6+ years progressive hotel experience or 4-year college degree with 4–5 years related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds; stand and move about the property as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication; professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; participate in MOD coverage.
• Maintain regular attendance and confidentiality of information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations and adjust as needed with department heads.
• Lead weekly management meetings, training sessions, and sales reviews.
• Ensure budgeted productivity and accounting standards across departments.
• Develop managers for advancement through training programs.
• Drive hotel sales efforts, including top accounts, meetings, and events.
• Maintain compliance with Highgate SOPs and conduct performance appraisals.
• Coordinate with Director of Sales on HHBR activities and prospecting.
• Provide MOD coverage as required and ensure guest satisfaction.
