Job summary

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead operations, drive service excellence, and support the team in achieving business goals. You will set direction, coach leaders, and collaborate with departments to deliver memorable guest experiences.

As a senior on-site leader, you will supervise associates, manage schedules, monitor financial performance, ensure brand standards, and recruit top talent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for director-level roles.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred for management roles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned hotel operations and associates.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance, productivity, and service standards.
• Coach, train, develop, and recognize associates to support engagement and retention.
• Monitor operational and financial performance and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with Hotel Equities standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
• Respond effectively to guest concerns and support a consistent service-recovery culture.
• Manage schedules, staffing, supplies, and departmental resources as appropriate.
• Review reports, trends, and key performance information to support sound decisions.
• Communicate effectively with hotel leadership and other departments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
