Job summary

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support hotel operations and deliver exceptional service for guests and associates.

You will lead associates, drive performance, and help achieve business goals while upholding brand standards. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and hands-on problem-solving

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred for director-level roles.
• Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned hotel operations and associates.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance, productivity, and service standards.
• Coach, train, develop, and recognize associates to support engagement and retention.
• Monitor operational and financial performance and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with Hotel Equities standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
• Respond effectively to guest concerns and support a consistent service-recovery culture.
• Manage schedules, staffing, supplies, and departmental resources as appropriate.
• Review reports, trends, and key performance information to support sound decisions.
• Communicate effectively with hotel leadership and other departments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
