Job summary

Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager and to mentor the team toward consistently delivering outstanding service.

You will oversee guest relations, housekeeping coordination, staff training, inventory management, and daily financial tasks while promoting a collaborative, respectful culture that values merit and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in hotel leadership (front desk and back-of-house).
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong team building skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive in solving problems.
• Willing to work a changing schedule.

Responsibilities

• Team Lead: Train and guide staff; discuss performance and training needs with GM; attend and lead staff huddles.
• Financial: Post checks in PMS; complete weekly labor tracker; manage payment due reports, postpaid outs and receipts.
• Guest Relations: Maintain high cleanliness standards; address guest concerns; follow up on feedback; promote amenities.
• Housekeeping: Assign rooms and assist GM in inspections.
• Sales & Marketing: Network locally; lead in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
• Teamwork: Cover shifts as needed; assist with housekeeping and laundry.
• Emergency Procedures: Follow property emergency procedures; ensure security for guests and property.
