Job summary

ESA Management, LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the General Manager in daily hotel operations in Washington, DC. The AGM will manage hourly staff, oversee scheduling, onboarding, and training per ESU requirements, and ensure safety procedures are followed to protect guests and associates.

The AGM will lead by example to enhance guest and associate satisfaction, drive revenue initiatives, and assist in budgeting and operations to meet EBITDA targets.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to operate hotel management systems and day-to-day reporting.
• Experience supervising hourly staff (8–15) and coordinating trainings.
• Familiarity with safety and security protocols in hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to hourly staff, scheduling and directing daily activities.
• Ensure onboarding and timely training of associates with required ESU training.
• Promote adherence to company policies including safety and security standards.
• Support revenue-building initiatives and GOP targets to meet EBITDA goals.
• Handle guest service issues promptly and escalate to GM/MUGM as needed.
• Assist in interviewing, onboarding, and training new associates.
