Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New York to support the General Manager and ensure smooth hotel operations. You will lead a team of hourly staff, supervise daily activities, and drive service quality across all departments.

You will be responsible for onboarding, training, budgeting support, and maintaining safety and security standards while promoting ESA's service culture and guest satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• Fluent English written and verbal communication.
• Ability to operate property management system (PMS).
• Basic arithmetic for billing and budgeting tasks.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations and supervise 8–15 hourly staff.
• Train and onboard associates; ensure timely ESU training.
• Enforce safety and security procedures per company guidelines.
• Drive revenue growth while controlling costs and maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Serve as on-duty manager when GM is unavailable.
