Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and remedial maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems, FF&E, and hotel facilities across the property in Miami.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment, perform scheduled tasks, maintain pool and grounds, and ensure safety procedures are followed while delivering dependable service to guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Must be able to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems and act accordingly.
• Be willing to comply with hotel policies including appearance, safety and emergency procedures.
• Skilled in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Serves the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completes maintenance logs.
• Maintains the building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor, accidents, injuries, or losses.
• Maintains a safe work environment by following safety rules.
• Maintains neat, clean appearance per handbook.
• Assists other Engineering Personnel when needed.
• Performs related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
