Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of the hotel's mechanical and electrical systems, FF&E, and grounds. Responsibilities include servicing HVAC, plumbing, and equipment, and ensuring a clean, safe property for guests.

The role emphasizes following safety protocols, maintaining the building exterior, and coordinating with engineering staff to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and security problems in the hotel.
• Willingness to comply with hotel policies, appearance, safety and emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventive maintenance on a schedule (e.g., room care).
• Maintains pool and outdoor areas, records logs and maintenance requests.
• Keeps building exterior in good condition and curb appeal (lawn, painting, gardening).
• Adheres to company policies and safety procedures.
