Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a hotel maintenance engineer to perform preventive and reactive maintenance across the property in Miami, FL. This role covers mechanical, electrical, and general plant upkeep, including pool care, pool chemical balancing, and grounds maintenance.

The candidate should have knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry, with strong safety awareness and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining guest service standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Willing to comply with hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security rules.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing).
• Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintains pool services, chemicals, and filter cleaning; logs maintenance requests.
• Maintains exterior grounds and curb appeal, including lawn care and painting.
• Follows safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
