Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventative maintenance and repair of the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the upkeep of FF&E, grounds, and pool areas.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical malfunctions, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with policies. The role includes maintaining building exterior and assisting other Engineering personnel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while staying flexible and professional.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and hotel policies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) across the hotel.
• Performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintains amenities like the pool and grounds; records logs of maintenance tasks.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Assists other Engineering personnel and performs related duties as assigned.
