Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to safeguard the hotel’s mechanical/electrical systems and general plant upkeep, including FF&E, grounds, and pool areas. The role supports 24/7 hotel operations and requires flexibility in shifts.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment while upholding company policies and guest service standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Must recognize safety hazards and security problems and take appropriate action.
• Willing to comply with hotel policies including appearance, safety and emergency procedures.
• Proficient in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing, landscaping.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Serves the hotel pool including chemicals and filter maintenance; completes maintenance logs.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures and safety rules.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
