Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to uphold and repair the hotel's mechanical/electrical systems and to maintain the physical plant, FF&E, and grounds. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, and timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC and plumbing, servicing the pool, ensuring curb appeal, and following all safety and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
• Must recognize safety hazards and follow hotel policies and emergency procedures.
• Willingness to comply with grooming, safety, and security rules.
• Experience across HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting and landscaping is a plus.
• Good use of basic hand and electric tools; familiar with parts and materials.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule basis.
• Maintains the pool area, including chemicals and filters; completes maintenance logs.
• Maintains exterior of the building and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Adheres to company policies, safety and security procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor; ensures safe work environment.
• Assists other engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
