Job summary

Ascent Hospitality in Hammond, IN seeks a General Manager to lead daily hotel operations and drive guest satisfaction and financial profitability. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, service initiatives, and brand compliance, serving as the primary liaison with hotel owners and corporate entities.

This hands-on role requires proven leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage revenue streams across rooms, F&B, housekeeping and engineering.

Qualifications

• Must be responsible, reliable, ethical, employee centric and customer centric with a positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and lead a team effectively.
• Proven leadership experience in hotel management or sales-focused role.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet with clients.

Responsibilities

• Manages revenue sources across rooms, housekeeping, F&B, engineering, ensuring profitability.
• Develops and implements Sales and Marketing programs and quarterly reports.
• Participates in Sales discussions, meetings, plans and calls with key accounts.
• Holds leadership meetings and directs department managers and supervisors.
• Monitors performance, develops employees, and maintains HR files.
• Ensures brand standards, guest service, safety, and asset protection.
• Coordinates planning with management for schedules, recruitment, and training.
