Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Florida seeks a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related equipment across the property, including the pool, grounds and FF&E.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols, coordination with engineering staff, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced hotel setting. Applicants should possess multi-trade skills and strong troubleshooting ability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel.
• Comply with hotel policies including appearance, safety and emergency procedures.
• Skilled in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a schedule (e.g., room care).
• Service the hotel pool, adjust chemicals, clean filters and log maintenance requests.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal (lawn, painting, landscaping).
• Follow safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
• Assist other Engineering personnel when needed.
• Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
