Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting. You will work on-site, coordinating with events and hotel staff to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, customer service, and basic troubleshooting. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work irregular hours in a hotel/convention center environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements per Encore’s policy.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate Company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down basic AV equipment per event requirements.
• Exceeds expectations by managing guest needs and maintaining client relationships on site.
• Troubleshoots equipment and software issues promptly and professionally.
• Completes systems entry and paperwork accurately using Navigator.
• Interacts with staff and vendors to coordinate equipment delivery and setup.
• Assists in invoicing with clients and upsells where appropriate.
