Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Chief Engineer in Plano, TX to direct all engineering operations, energy management, asset protection, and preventative maintenance in alignment with the General Manager and brand standards.

The role requires leadership of engineering staff, budgeting, safety compliance, and coordination with local authorities to ensure a safe, efficient hotel operation and exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Direct all facets of Engineering.
• Keep abreast of brand standards and competition’s products to improve revenues and margins.
• Lead engineering staff, budgeting, asset protection, inventory control and HR.
• Direct emergency programs including maintenance, inspections, drills, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with General Manager to ensure safe environment for guests and associates.
• Monitor and evaluate the condition of engineering areas, equipment, and inventories.
• Investiate, analyze, and report on all incidents and accidents.
• Communicate with hotel department heads to address maintenance needs and respond to internal requests.
• Conduct 90 day and annual performance evaluations for the engineering staff.
