Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering operations at a hotel property. The role requires directing maintenance, energy management, asset protection, and the engineering team to align with brand standards and regulations.

You will manage budgets, attend to preventative maintenance, and liaise with the General Manager and corporate teams to ensure quality service and financial performance. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related experience in building management/engineering.
• Proven track record in profitable engineering management.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
• Minimum of three years of managerial skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Direct all facets of Engineering and maintain brand standards.
• Lead Engineering staff, budgeting, asset protection, and inventory control.
• Coordinate with the General Manager, brand standards, and corporate office.
• Oversee safety, preventative maintenance, and emergency programs.
• Conduct 90 day and annual performance evaluations for the engineering staff.
