Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a Chief Engineer to direct all engineering operations, oversee budget, asset protection, and staff. You will manage preventive maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with leadership to optimize hotel performance.

The role requires extensive engineering leadership, budget oversight, and a strong focus on safety, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence across a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related experience in building management/engineering.
• Strong track record in profitable engineering management with integrity.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
• Minimum of three years of managerial experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform complex budgeting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct all facets of Engineering and align with brand standards.
• Lead Engineering staff, budgeting, asset protection and HR.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance and safety programs.
• Coordinate with General Manager on budgets, plans and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Inspect facilities and supervise vendor contracts and bids.
• Communicate clearly with departments and staff; supervise cost control.
• Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining high service and reliability.
