Job summary

Hotel Management and Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager and support team development, ensuring service standards are consistently exceeded.

You will oversee guest relations, housekeeping, inventory, and local sales initiatives while maintaining a collaborative work environment. The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to a changing schedule to meet guest

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hotel leadership experience.
• Strong computer skills and hospitality software familiarity.
• Proven team-building and staff development abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and adaptability to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Train and guide staff; lead staff huddles; provide hands-on support to achieve outstanding results.
• Post checks in PMS; complete weekly labor tracker; manage payment due reports and receipts.
• Maintain high guest service standards; address guest concerns promptly; monitor feedback and upsell amenities.
• Assign rooms and inspect housekeeping; support GM in inspections.
• Manage inventory; check property email; build relationships with vendors and guests.
• Lead in-house guest sales and local marketing to increase occupancy; network with local organizations.
• Cover shifts as needed to ensure operational continuity; assist with laundry and public spaces.
• Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure security needs are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
