Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager to act as a key liaison for guests and a right hand to the General Manager, supporting Front Office and other departments. The AGM will drive efficient day-to-day operations, cultivate a positive work environment, and ensure exceptional guest service across hotel operations.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of hotel leadership experience, familiarity with major hotel brands, and a strong service orientation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hotel operations and leadership experience including managing medium to large staff.
• Experience with a major hotel brand is a plus (e.g., Hilton, Marriott).
• Exceptional service orientation with keen focus on guest needs.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and proactive with strong follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize daily department scheduling and operations.
• Partner with GM to foster a positive work environment.
• Support front line staff across departments.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and quality checks for guest service excellence.
• Plan and delegate daily activities against forecasted business volume.
• Drive cross-department communication of objectives and priorities.
• Oversee supplies and inventories; participate in vendor invoice processing.
• Maintain safety and brand standards compliance across hotel operations.
• Fulfill Manager on Duty responsibilities as needed.
• Train front desk and night audit staff on Company/Brand standards and rewards programs.
