Job summary

Ascent Hospitality's Huntsville property is seeking an Assistant General Manager to act as the right hand to the General Manager while supporting Front Office operations, Housekeeping/Laundry, and Food & Beverage. The role emphasizes daily hands-on leadership to maximize efficiency and profitability and to create a positive work environment that delivers exceptional guest service.

You will supervise staff, manage schedules, train teams, and uphold safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in hotel operations leadership.
• Experience with a major hotel brand is a plus (e.g. Marriott).
• Exceptional guest service orientation and communication skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations and director-level coordination.
• Support Front Office, Housekeeping/Laundry, and F&B departments.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and quality checks to ensure service excellence.
• Plan and delegate daily operational activities against forecasted volume.
• Drive cross-department communication and adherence to brand standards.
• Handle vendor invoices, cash handling, and basic accounting tasks.
