Job summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily property operations, ensuring guests have a positive experience and that all hotel standards are met. This is a hands-on role that may step into frontline positions as needed.

The AGM supervises staff, inspects rooms and public areas, monitors finances at the front desk, and ensures the safety, security, and organization of the property during their shift.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in hotel operations or customer service.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Willingness to supervise and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision to front desk, housekeeping, custodial, and maintenance staff.
• Support check-ins, guest inquiries, and front desk operations.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for quality and readiness.
• Monitor cash handling and end-of-shift deposits.
• Enforce safety, cleanliness, and Master Key policies.
• Lead guest incident responses and coordinate with security if needed.
• Conduct property walks and assign rent-ready rooms.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for guest needs.
• Assist with guest billing and payment verification.
• Interview applicants and assist with onboarding and training.
