Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager to serve as the key liaison for hotel guests and a right hand to the General Manager. You will support Front Office, Housekeeping/Laundry, and Food & Beverage while directing daily operations and building an energized, guest-focused team.

Responsibilities include staff leadership, scheduling, vendor relations, training, and ensuring adherence to safety and brand standards. Weekend and night availability is often required.

Qualifications

• High school education required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum two years in a hotel management role.
• Ability to lead a team and manage diverse staff.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
• Strong initiative, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate department scheduling and activities for smooth operations.
• Partner with GM to foster a positive work environment.
• Support front desk, housekeeping, and F&B operations as needed.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Provide coverage as Manager on Duty and train staff on standards.
