Job summary

Encore Global is seeking an on-site Event Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hotel/convention center environment. You will ensure guest satisfaction, manage on-site checks, and troubleshoot equipment during events.

The role emphasizes hospitality, effective communication, and reliable execution, with a pay range of $15.64–$20.33 per hour and potential overtime or incentives in a dynamic hotel setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down basic audiovisual equipment.
• Exceeds expectations of internal and external customers through proactive service.
• Troubleshoots basic equipment and software issues promptly.
• Completes systems entry and paperwork accurately; uses equipment sheets to plan setup and strike.
• Collaborates with staff and vendors to ensure successful events and accurate invoicing.
