Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic/small-scale AV systems in a hotel/convention center, ensuring guest satisfaction. You will report to the Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology.

Responsibilities include on-site setup, customer service, troubleshooting, paperwork, and vendor coordination. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; some roles may involve DOT considerations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Meet training and certifications within 60 days; see career path.
• Internal applicants must complete training per Encore requirements.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of AV experience or equivalent in education environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for potential vehicle operation.
• DOT requirements may apply.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic AV equipment.
• Exceed customer expectations and maintain client relations on site.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues.
• Complete equipment sheets and Navigator entries; assist with invoices.
• Upsell services to increase revenue where possible.
