HCHCARES is seeking a Switchboard Operator to support hospital communications in Indiana. You will answer and route calls, page staff via multiple channels, and assist with emergency alerts to dispatch the appropriate teams.

The role involves coordinating patient telephone service and performing essential clerical duties. The position requires strong typing, clear communication, and professional phone etiquette.

Qualificações

• Above average typing and data-entry skills are required.
• Clear communication and good judgment are essential in interactions with physicians, staff, and the public.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Handle all calls for the switchboard; assist with outgoing calls as needed.
• Report malfunctioning telephone equipment to IS personnel.
• Perform paging via voice, digital, pocket pagers, and walkie-talkies; keep pager assignments current.
• Respond to alarms and codes by paging the right personnel.
• Maintain census listings during downtime and process death-related documents.
• Keep Extend system contact information up-to-date; participate in training of new employees.
