Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building facilities and hospital equipment. The role requires blueprint reading, computer use, and familiarity with CMMS and BAS.

You will respond to unplanned facility needs, complete on-time tasks, and monitor systems such as boilers, chillers, and energy management. Applicants should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years healthcare experience or 6 years in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years healthcare or 6 years commercial/industrial maintenance experience with relevant certifications.
• Active MEC H Certification or equivalent certifications may be required.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to facility needs to minimize risk and downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders on equipment and buildings.
• Monitor building areas for maintenance issues and report to facilities staff.
• Troubleshoot and maintain utility systems including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety and energy management.
• Document tasks performed with time spent.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers and leadership; use CMMS and BAS.
• Understand cooling tower and chiller functions, air filter properties and water treatment system operations.
• Perform intermediate carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing and HVAC-related tasks.
