Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital facilities and equipment. The role requires blueprint reading, computer proficiency, and strong communication to support safety and continuous service.

Responsibilities include monitoring utility systems, managing work orders, and reporting issues to facilities leadership. The position offers full-time hours with alternating shifts, weekends, and on-call duties in northern

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of documented commercial/industrial maintenance experience.
• OR 2 years healthcare experience plus M.E.C.H. certification.
• OR 2 years healthcare experience or approved equivalents.
• Or 2 years healthcare with four additional certifications with manager approval.

Responsibilities

• Respond to facility needs promptly to minimize risk and avoid service interruption.
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders within set time frames.
• Monitor building envelope, grounds, and identify issues for reporting.
• Maintain and troubleshoot utility systems including plumbing, electrical, life safety and energy management.
• Document tasks performed with time spent.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and leadership; use CMMS and BAS.
