Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital facilities and plant equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, computer proficiency, and flexibility to work alternating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of documented commercial/industrial maintenance experience or 2 years healthcare experience with MEC Certification or approved equivalent certifications

Responsibilities

• Provides timely response to facility needs to minimize patient risk and service interruptions
• Performs preventive maintenance and on-demand work orders on equipment and buildings within established timeframes
• Monitors building areas for maintenance issues and reports to facilities staff
• Troubleshoots utility systems including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, life safety and energy management systems
• Maintains systems such as boiler plant, chiller plant, ventilation, fire protection and related hospital equipment
• Documents tasks performed with time spent and communicates effectively with customers and leadership
