Job summary

Mercy is seeking a highly skilled Facility Systems Technician to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and electrical/plumbing systems across Mercy locations. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service within hospitals and clinics.

The incumbent will work with minimal supervision to resolve issues, support the Environment of Care, and contribute to high-quality facility operations.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years commercial experience with HVAC, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 12 months.
• Valid boiler-related licenses or licensure within required locations; certification within specified timelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions.
• Ability to manage time and materials and deliver work at high quality and low cost.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair electrical/plumbing systems, movable equipment, and facility assets.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Resolve repair issues independently with little supervision.
• Support hospital and clinic facilities to ensure safe Environment of Care.
• Prioritize work, interpret blueprints/specifications, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
