GBMC HealthCare is seeking a clerical admissions assistant to interview patients, prepare forms, and perform related computer tasks for inpatient and outpatient admissions.

The role requires a HS or GED and about 6 months of experience; hospital or emergency department exposure is preferred. You will use Meditech and other systems, manage calls, and support patient flow throughout the admission process.

Qualifikationen

• HS or GED required; 6 months' experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
• Experience with patient data entry and hospital systems is desirable.

• Performs admitting functions using RTM, Meditech, and bedtracking.
• Answers calls promptly and coordinates with RN/administrative staff.
• Ensures patients are directed to testing and paperwork is complete.
• Keeps logs up to date and assists with transfers and charting.
